MV Scout, Guide, Cub and Bulbul Training Camp,2025

As like every year this year also a three days camp for our Scouts/Guides and Cub/Bulbul is organised at our school from 10th of March to 12th of March 2025. This is the third year in succession for Scouts and Guides and first year for Cubs and Bulbuls that the camp has been organised at our school's adventure park.

Today on the first day of camp Mr Suraj Bose and Ms Vinita Bose, the Scout master and the Guide captain and Mr Vijay Kumar and Ms Leena Dubey, the Cub master and Flock leader of our school assisted the students and trained them with the process of the group formation and work of Patrol/troop leader and Asst Patrol/troop leader, knotting, lashing,Whistle Signals tent pitching with patrol presentation and different types of claps.

Students also planned and practice for group wise presentation for the last day.

All the members had an enriching experience on the very first day.

On the second day each of the student make flag representing their group names. The leaders of groups were changed and process was explained to them. After that our students were taken for hiking to Eastern Railway State training park,Madhupur where they were trained by the trainer about the way of finding direction with different method like with the help of Lensatic magnetic compass and with triangulation method. The students were seen very observant and curious and try to get answers of all of their queries from the trainer.

The trainer was felicitated with scarf and a food packet.

As the Scouts and Guides return back as per the instruction of their Scout master and Guide captain they settle themselves in places alloted to them.

At the end they practiced for their events on the last day of camp.

The final day of the Scout/Guide and Cubs/Bulbuls Annual Camp was a grand success, filled with excitement, learning, and memorable moments. The day began with arrangement of things with discipline and teamwork. The students then engaged with pitching of tent. This was a perilous endeavour as many times members of each group ended up with the tent wrapped around themselves before they finally got it right.

When they eventually succeeded it ended up looking something like that-a marvel of low tech, low cost, temporary housing. After that students were engaged in decorating their corner and preparation of different snacks with/without utensils. These activities tested the participants' endurance, agility, and problem-solving abilities, reinforcing the values of scouting and guiding.

One of the highlights of the day was the Valedictory Ceremony, attended by distinguished guests, including school officials. The guests praised the efforts of the campers and encouraged them to continue embodying the principles of scouting—service, leadership, and responsibility. Certificates and awards were distributed to outstanding participants for their exemplary performance throughout the camp.

A special cultural program added a festive touch to the evening, with skits, songs, and dance performances showcasing the creativity and teamwork of the campers.

As the camp came to a close, the scouts and guides bid farewell to their fellow campers, carrying with them cherished memories, new friendships, and valuable life skills. The event concluded with wishing Holi and spreading gulal to each other.
